BDO, We Find Ways to steal your money


It  was a nightmare. Always has been. This was the third time that this effin' bank has done this to me. It's a sickness they cannot cure. Annoying and never fails to make me so infuriated that I would want to put a bomb in their office and blow them up to pieces. But hey... this is Philippines. It's supposed to happen.


I know everything not ought to be perfect. Now, Banco de Oro, that effin' bank institution, always finds its way to ruin a day. Especially for paydays. Yes. I was one of the unfortunate people whose company's payroll is enrolled under. I wish I have the power to tell the company's higher ups these words, "What the hell is the matter with you? This freaking bank is ruining our life and takes our own money away from us. Why not go change to BPI or PS Bank?" But I don't. I may have a position but I don't have that special power.


Here's the situation. It's a payday, as I said. before the first day of the following month, I always make it an effort to pay my gym membership in Fitness First (who has been giving me an awesome service for a year now). It was November 30, 2011. A Wednesday. Regular people (people who don't work in Call Centers) take their extra day off because it's Andress Bonifacio day. Meaning, it's not a banking day. NOT A BANKING DAY.

According to my failing 26-year old memory, I still have more than 5 thousand bucks in my BDO ATM Card. So, why in the world would I have to go to an ATM and get cash when I can just have it swiped at Fitness First POS Terminal. So I did. The beautiful Miss Yssa at the reception (Fitness First Megamall)  told me politely if I have another card. Bell rings. If a person who swiped your card asks you if you have any other card, it's has been declined. I thought, "Maybe I only had less than two thousand in my account, but that's impossible. It's probably a system glitch because my card is as old as I am with my current company. 4 years"


"Miss Yssa, ATM Debit po yan, baka po kailangan gamitan ng Pin-Based terminal." me speaking because I work for a financial account. So, the beautiful Miss Yssa tried to swipe me and I pinned my security numbers. Error message says I have insufficient funds. I was so disappointed that I left the line immediately to give way to other members for their payments and told Yssa that I will just go back to check on my balance. And I did, when I checked it on an ATM, balance registered P2,400.00 and let me let you know that my monthly payment for Fitness First is P2,750.00 so it was clearly debited.


I was so disappointed that I decided not to workout because of that feeling. You know the feeling that you were on the mood to do something and is so excited about it but something happens and ruins that excitement and turns it into something frustrating. So I went home. I checked my online account, and there it was. P2,750.00 deducted out of my account. I withdrawn the full amount from my account and paid Fitness First in Cash.


Here's the best part. I contacted BDO's phone customer support and was disconnected twice. On the third time, I was able to reach Mack. As usual, I explained my situation. My account was debited and all. Placed me on hold, the usual doings of a BDO customer service and then goes back to me with a bad news saying, I apologize sir, we will have to do an investigation and it would take 45 BANKING DAYS. What???!!! My blood pressure was rising high up to the moon. 45 banking days, that was like more than a couple of months! I have no money. What would I eat in the next few days? How would I go to the office? I don't have any money at all!


This was the very first time that I got angry over the phone. I want to curse but I cannot because I can still hold my anger but I know I am angry. They were wanting me to fax a letter. I said to them straight that I don't to fax anything cause I don't have a fax machine. That was the time that I found some customer's spiel useful (I take escalated calls in my work, so...).

I asked for a supervisor. What would an angry customer do, right? She then tells me the same thing. But she did something different. Her name is Melissa, by the way. She said she will  put an urgency into this and assured me that 45 banking days is just a maximum time frame so it would be possible that it could be credited back sooner. I sarcastically said, "What... 44 banking days". I begged but still, the process prevails.


BDO is a nightmare. I already learned my lesson because this was the fourth time. I was not able to realize that it was a payday the day before. Why it came out of my mind, I don't know. It never fails. Try to use your BDO ATM Debit Card during paydays. Have them swiped and you could possibly experience one of the worst things that could happen. NEVER USE YOUR CARD TO SWIPE FOR A TRANSACTION ON A PAYDAY. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS BDO. AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, DO NOT USE BDO. NEVER EVER USE BDO. IF YOU ARE WORKING ON A COMPANY, TRY TO TALK TO WHOEVER PROCESSES THE PAYROLL TO HAVE THEM CHANGE YOUR PAYROLL BANK TO ANY OTHER BANK ASIDE FROM BDO.


BDO, we find ways. BDO finds ways to ruin your life. BDO finds ways to hold your money and make interest out of it for 45 days and make up different stories to make you believe it's not their fault. BDO will finds ways to not dispense cash out of the ATM when you try to withdraw money, you dispute it and nothing will be done. BDO is a greedy piece of shit. BDO is bull crap. They make money by stealing people's money.


OK, back to the story. I contacted Fitness First for hopes that a miracle could happen. Thankfully, their customer service was superior. The manager on desk even asked if I was using a cellphone so he could call me back. Kudos to you Miss Ice and Sir Jojo of Fitness First Megamall for showing what real customer service it. So, Sir Jojo contacted me back on my cellphone. He talked to BDO and got the same response but told me it could take 5-10 banking days. I gladly thanked him for doing everything for me.


As for BDO, fuck you all.

  4. Simple... 2,700.00 X 1000 customers only (minimum count of customers with an offline charge in a day time) is already 2.7M. Now, your bank has the pleasure to put your funds in short term stocks for a whole week. Their gain won't be yours, thanks to you clients and their network for lending them your funds. This is just one of the high rollers' game, and it's even the smallest way for them to create funds. The biggest is Laundering, they let the dirty money in, the bank manager bundles it for the dirty client to make it look nice and clean. Dirty client goes into different banks, hand over the bundled dirty-clean money to the teller, and the launder is done. They are all the same circus in different towns and the government can't do anything about it. Fraud is legal if you have a big player. Chinese and Jews are all the same when it comes to business.

I Debited 8000 pesos in Surigao Del Norte Philippines at the BDO bank and no money came out of the machine .The shitty outdated Xp professional operating system tried to reboot a couple times then went out of service . went in to the bank and in 30 minutes got my bank card back to find they had deducted the 8000 pesos from my account .8000 pork scam by bdo. I am told i will see that money in 5 working days ,more like 8 working days as this is a thursday.I am glad i am a foreigner and can access emergency funds at another bank in Canada .In Canada sorry means sorry in Philippines SORRY MEANS GO FU.. YOURSELF. Great banking system Philippines . I guess it represents you ar good as Manila airport .Google the worst airport in the world if you dont believe me . 4 years in a row . Congrats philippines well done

  6. BDO did it again just recently (8/23/2014) at bdo sm marilao atm machine. I'm usinga sec bank card, and try to widraw 10k on a bdo machine since no secbank machine was available near the area. The transaction was successfully processed, I even head the machine counts the bills, but nothing came out. After several minutes of waiting and even checking the dispenser by inserting my hands on it, a girl came to me and ask "ate nag-widraw ka din, wla din lumabas". And then I said yes.after that..we both go to the bdo office inside the mall to complain..but in my shock, there's already bulk of customer complaining about the machine, and yet bdo doesn't have any initiative to atleast put an offline sign on the said machine and they're just letting more people to widraw from it.... and what's worst is they're asking me to jut call my bank and they will be the one to coordinate to them and when I ask if I could use they're phone, one of the staff says "hindi po pwede, long distance call po kasi yun" ... so now I have to carry the burden of making a long distance call, while I they're machine actually deducted service fee on my account, meaning I already paid for a service which I doesn't actually enjoy. And up to now they're not returning my money. While secbanknk on the other hand was doing a great job making follow ups to bdo. Its been 10 days, yet no response from them....I even try to talk to their customer service and got nothing, telling me they does't know anything about it.

    1. yes! it did to me December year ender 2015...debited without dispensing money.. my Card is from other bank... filling complaint to BDO and to my banker... 15 days .. and after that day when my banker call BDO it wont answer so ran another 7days for process and again 7days for running for 2 months still investigation and the finding "transaction successful" when in fact during that time of transaction the machine display message " cannot process request"...what hell of this! is this a scam? pity for the poor trap to this sceme... who would help? where is the public consumer protection? will my money credited back? or forever gone? where is the justice.

  7. hi all. im not an account holder of bdo but good thing i have now been informed about this. its just actually now that i realized that there's also a bad side on this bank. my company's payroll is actually enrolled to bpi. but i have also been thinking that holding an account with bdo will be nice too since their office hours is much flexible for their customers' available time
    like as we all know, most of us will have to work on weekdays, office hours. the time we will be out from the office is usually the time other banks are about to close. other banks are also close on weekends which makes it hard for othee customers to make transactions. we will have to adjust our time which is sometimes a hassle. this is actually the good poont i see in bdo. however, my belief has been changed just this morning. my sentiments here is actually not related to my money being debited by bdo since, i repeat i am not YET(just about too but im thinking of changing my mind because of thia blog) an account holder. going back, thia morning i deposited an amount to a friend as my payment to an item i bought to her. the teller had charged 50 pesos for making a deposit to an account outside thw region were i am having my transaction. bpi have not done this yet to me. imagine i have more than once deposite an amount from bpi bacoor to pampangga but i have not been asked to pat for outside region charges. my point is, bdo you should walk your talk. walk your tagline. if other banks can find ways not to ask for extra charges for these type of transactions, why can't you? if other banks can find ways to ease burdens with the products they provide and innovate, why can't you?

  8. My point here is, I am "PRETTY" sure that BDO's employees' intentions are all clean but the company itself doesn't seem to see the value of their depositors. I mean, could you imagine how stressful it is to fall in line for more than an hour just to get your transaction done in certain BDO branches?

    They didn't even consider an idea of adding seats, adding queue numbers and the sort. It has been years since I noticed the long lines in all BDO branches and BDO is doing nothing to fix this. Moreso with their stupid bullshit process when money is being debited out of your account.

    A decision made well of NOT opening an account with BDO. Doing so will add a horrifying stress in your life. BPI is better though, I have transferred ALL my accounts to them :-) they are organized.

    1. il not bet on that . i find out that some person is having acceses to my bankaccount and this month they remove 5000 p from my account asking BDO to help and investigate about it the only answear was we will contct you soon after2 weeks i empty my account and tell them to F.. them self.

  10. This is a serious piece of sh*t... even on my side of the story has its annoying experience due to such "UNABLE TO DISPENSE" incident. I was trying to withdraw P200 and you know the result(UNABLE TO DISPENSE)... and then I try to do some balance inquiry and there you have it... debited. They seem don't choose their victims wether if its a high or low wage person... Really do hope for BDO to open up their eyes for this problem though... this would cost the big2x trouble in the future.

  11. This post was entered last 2011 and it's now 2015. I got debited 10k yesterday from an RCBC machine and when i called their Godforsaken customer service hotline, they told me it would take 15 BANKING DAYS to process. I was about to buy meds for my kid. Good thing I had extra. If not then I'm gonna use all my resources to sur BDO for having sh*tty system glitches. What if that money could save a life? I am really frustrated that I'm gonna post this to all my social media pages and let our payroll dept know how awful BDO's sytem is. I'll make a motion to change our bank for payroll. BDO is BS!! And im gonna make sure the whole world knows!

      After ko mag out sa office i went to SM Manila to buy some pasalubong to my family kase bagong sahod. So I decided to withraw kase wala na akong cash so… Nagpunta ako sa una kong nakitang BDO ATM machine. I had the urge to check my balance first so nag check muna ako so lumabas na may 6,560. Nilabas ung atm ko then receipt. Another transaction, Nag withdraw ako ng 6,500. Nakalagay sa screen na your transaction is being process, then nilabas ung card ko i was waiting for a minute after pero walang lumalabas na pera then nakalagay na sa screen ” unable to dispense money”
      Akala ko nag error lang ung transaction kaya inulit ko tapos sabe sa screen insufficient balance na… Pag check ko ng balance 53 na lang putik!!!!!!
      I am a gcash card holder at pede ako mag withdraw in any atm machine nationwide. Sobrang kinabahan talaga ako as in nanginginig ung kamay ko kase it was my first time. Tinawag ko na sa globe and i was advised to wait for 10 working days to coordinate with bdo sm manila for investigation for god’s sake! 10 working days and i really need my money badly! Sana maibalik pa ung pera ko. Pinaghirapan ko un ng 2 weeks

Im an unionbank client,may balance akong nasa 29k sa account ko, nag withdraw ako sa BDO kalentong branch ng 10k, lumabas sa screen "we cannot process your transaction" tapos me lumabas na receipt n nakaligay "unable to dispense cash". So sa pag aakala na error lang ng atm un n pinag withdraw-an ko, nag try ako sa isang atm pa same amount at same result lang dn.. baka kako cra lang atm ng BDO so nag try ako sa atm ng eastwest at nakaligay sa screen "insufficient balance blah blah" hala dun na ako kinabahan baka na debit n iung dalawang 10k na gnawa ko sa bdo atm. Nag check ako ng balance sa umobile at tama ang hinala ko nadebit nga iung 20k sa account ko, tumawag agad ako sa unionbank to file my complaint at ang sabi ng agent it will take 5-7banking days. Buti merong advance credit ang unionbank n ibabalik agad ang nawalang pera sau habang nag iinvestigate.. hayzz.. i will never use bdo atm again.. nkaka trauma na.. hahaha

  15. today is December 29,2015. tulad nyo lahat naloko din sa bdo atm. RobinsonsBank gamit ng company namin for payroll. Nagwithdraw ako kanina umaga ng 9,900 sabi ng atm "unable to dispense" tpos biglang halos wala ng balance ang account ko. nagfile na ako ng complaint sa RobinsonsBank davao tpos since may upcoming holiday's, after 3 weeks pa ma asikaso. BDO did not help at all. did not even explain why or ano reason kung bkt ganun nangyari sa atm machine at mag coordinate lang daw ako sa bank ko. naghihintay ako ngayon at wala pang guarantee.   16. FUCK BDO! I LOST 10K last month. ATM didn't dispense cash so I left. No receipt as well. Then the next day, 10K was debited and I filed a complaint. A customer rep calls me after 5 days and he says someone took my money after I left! Fuck that! The machine said "no cash to dispense"!!! Now, they said I could view the cctv footage for a fee: 750 pesos! I'm like "I effin' lost 10K and you want me to pay you, so I could see what happened?" FUCK YOU BDO!!! FUCK YOU TO HELL!

Tanay Town Center BDO atm located inside Savemore Supermarket...same thing I withdraw P7k sabi ng machine "sorry cannot process transaction" nakalagay sa receipt unable to dispense nagbalance inquiry ako ayun nawala ang P7k. Pumunta ako sa customer service ng Savemore to tell them may probkema yung atm, sabi pa sa akin ng guard ksnina pa po yan lahat ng nagwiwithdraw walang nakukuha...tsk...tsk...nagreport agad ako sa Pnb and they told me 10 to 15 banking days daw....OMG..ang perang pinaghirapan ko ganun katagal bago ko makuha...eh wala na ako pera...nagpunta ako BDO bank sa Tanay Town Center to serk assistance...ang babaeng nasa counter walang concern wala daw sila magagawa...irereport na kang daw nila yung atm..
    OMG... BDO... magnanakaw ba talaga kayo ng perang pinaghirapan ng tao??? Ayudin nyo serbisyo nyo

    Sm fairview.... Pay check ako ng balance 8,245 pa tapos nag withraw ako 8,000 (eon card) tapos may naiingay akala ko lalabas na yung pera tapos wala!!! Tapos ang sabe sa resibo UNAVAIBLE TO DESPENSE!!!! .... Tapos magpunta ako ng CS nila unionbank bank daw makikipag usap!!! .. Tapos 3-7 working days daw!!!
    Di lang basta pera ang nawala pati pagtitiwala nmn sa inyu!!!


    Kakawalang gana!!! Ang babagal mag sikilos pero super commercial todo promote kaka peste ng araw!!!

    1. nakuha nyo na po ba yung pera nyo? yung akin po kasi one month na hidni pa din. I tried requesting for a CCTv. nanghihinge pa po sila ng additional fee, para adw po sa tech support na kukunin nila. tapos ngaun lang tinext ako ng branch ko na wla daw po CCTV yung ATm. Napaka-imposible!!

    EXPLANATION OF HOW THESE CARD WORKS……….

    You just slot in these card into any ATM Machine and it will automatically bring up a MENU of 1st VAULT #1,000, 2nd VAULT #5,000, RE-PROGRAMMED, EXIT, CANCEL. Just click on either of the VAULTS, and it will take you to another SUB-MENU of ALL, OTHERS, EXIT, CANCEL. Just click on others and type in the amount you wish to withdraw from the ATM and you have it cashed instantly… Done.

I dident get my money from the ATM mashine, but the mashine keep my card d.02.09.2016 I got the answer today that there dont be any balance from that date,108 days to find a way to not delivery my money back, bulshit They are a corrupt bank like anybody else in Philippine.Newr use BDO bank and my wife will now move our money to another bank. To whom it may concern in BDO Dont fuck around with me I am lucky that i dont use your bank any more. bye bye your mother fucker

  25. I have this experience also with BDO but it's an online transaction.
    So here's what happened:
    I sent a payment to other bank when this FUCKING SYSTEM ERROR occur. It says that the transaction was made but it didn't reflect on the receiver's account. I will contact BDO tomorrow and hopefully I can get back the overpaid amount due to their MOTHERFUCKING SYSTEM ERROR that double paid that amount.

    P.S. IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE HASSLE ON SENDING ONLINE PAYMENTS DON'T EVEN TRY OR USE BDO OR YOU WILL ENDED UP LIKE ME OR WORSE.

  26. nangyari din po ito sakin.. last August 14,2016 twice ako nagwithdraw knowing na maximum amount per transaction was 10k so i did it.. first transaction was smooth, since naglabas ng reciept ung 10k transaction ko showing current balance was 4185.75 and available balance was 4185.75 so i withdaw the 4100 then system shows "the transaction cannot be process due to insuficient funds please try again later" nagulat ako kasi may laman pa ung card ko eh.. then after that nagbalance inquiry ako and shit reciept shows that i do have 71.15 available balance.. i contacted my bank which is Unionbank about it.. at ung nagfile sila ng case and at the same time since sa loob ng mall at labas lang mismo ng BDO branch ako nagwithdraw nireport ko din sa kanila tpos sabi sakin itawag ko lang daw sa bank ko.. so i follow them.. August 15 binigyan ako ni Unionbank ng Cash Advance ng 4100 dahil ndi ko nman daw kasalanan.. after 5 to 7 banking days na sinabi sakin wala pa fin update.. nang pumasok na ang sahod ko after 10banking days nabawasan ako ng same amount na pinahiram sakin .. so i updated UnionBank.. sabi nila nagresponse na daw si BDO saying na transaction successful daw.. sa sobrang galit ko.. ni request ko ung certificate na sinend nila sakin.. together the copy of transaction history nung nagwithdraw ako.. and my bank din send it to me.. and fucking shit BDO .. pati ung documents nila ndi nagtutugma.. successful daw pero base on the transaction history after ng 10k withdrawal ko may nakasulat na,
    "CASH PRESENT
    PRESENT
    CASH TAKEN"
    pero ung sa 4100 ko walang ganun.. and all of the transaction before and after ng withdrawal ko na 4100 ay merong ganyan.. ung 4100 ko lang ang wala.. so ginawa ko as advised by my bank was to contest it to BDO.. and i did.. and yung Manager nila ang humarap sakin.. at inamin nya na sa kanila galing ang documents pero ndi nya maexplain ung cash present at cash taken na ndi lumabas sa 4100 ko.. so sabi nya ifoforward daw nya sa head office nila.. ung documents xempre they photocopy it kasi akin ang original. then sabi nya ndi daw xa makakapagcommit sakin ng date maghintay lang daw ako ng response.. that time sinagot ko xa "so maghihintay nnman ako sa wala?!?! even your documents has discrepancy, na mismo ikaw eh nagpapatotoo na ndi lumabas ang pera at wala akong nakuhang pera , review your CCTV and alam ko na ang labasan ng pera ay may censor paglabas ng pera at pagkinuha mo ang pera .. I.T graduate ako kaya alam ko yan.. now your asking me to wait indefinitely??? pera ko na yan ililimos ko pa sa inyo?? what the heck.. " sinagot nya ko ng 2 to 3 business days daw tatawagan nya ako about sa result.. see kahit sila papaikutin ka at pag kumagat ka nman edi thank you ka na lang.. ngaun naghihintay ako sa tawag pero due to my evidence, hihingi na kami ng legal assistance as early as now.. at goodluck sa kanila.. sabi ko nga sa Manager " its not the amount that the customer's like me are insisting .. it is the hardwork that we put in our work to earn that certain amount." yan po ang Story ko so kung may BDO customer service dito or part ng BDO na nagbabasa dito .. think about it.. di lahat ng customer's na makukuhanan nyo ng pera eh mananahimik na lang.. might as well magpalit na kayo ng atm machine provider or maintenance... goodluck sa mangyayari sa case na ito.. magresponse kayo sa story ko BDO pero ilalaban ko to..

  29. I thought this is just an isolated case what happened to me with bdo. I was so pissed off since yesterday when i heard from their customer service that the widrawal of 10k i did last aug 31, 2016 was a successful transaction.
    This is how the story goes:
    Last aug 31 i made balance inquiry (have the receipt) in bdo atm machine at metro hospital davao and it shows i have about 32k balance, so i proceeded to widraw 10k, machine pops my card out and screen says unable to complete transaction.....
    So, i thought the machine may not have sufficient cash and I continued to the task why i was in that area which is to have my son get an xray. Thankfully i have enough cash for the xray so i completed this task.
    I then went to SM davao to get my license renewed but first i need money so i first widraw without inquiring for balance since i knew (thought) i have the same balance as i first inquired. To my surprise after i got the 10k which is the first transaction in the sm atm the transaction receipt shows remaining balance of 12k +. So after this first widrawal at sm i went inside the bank to complain, i was given the phone to talk to cs and i was given ref# for my complain.
    So as i have said, yesterday i got a call from CS to inform me that the transaction i complained about was a completed transaction, wtf!
    CS says investigation report was forwarded to the branch where my account belongs which is in marikina, so i told the CS i cannot go to marikina because i am in DAVAO, this atm is apayroll account, so the Cs asked where is the closest BDO office convenient to me, so i said SM lanang since this is close to our office.
    I have yet to hear from CS if report is already forwarded to SM lanang branch, for the mean time CS gave me another reference number for re investigation....
    So that means after 5 working days i have to wait for another 5 working days for result of re investigation...

    As of this writing bdo has not contacted me yet if they have already forwarded the result of the first investigation to bdo lanang branch in spite of my call to them last friday about whether they have sent the result to sm lanang... :(

    I Called CS just few minutes ago. Re investigation concludes, completed transaction. WTF!
    I have yet to see details/result, apparently they still have not acted upon my request to send investigation results in SM lanang. I had to raise my voice demanding the CS to act on this so i can look at the investigation results.
    To make long story short (30 minit call) it all ends up CS asking me to just be patient and wait for their call within the day update of my request to send investigation result to sm lanang..

    1. As of this writing BDO has not yet returned my 10k they debited from my account without dispensing cash. I wrote a complaint to BSP and more than a month after i got a reply from bdo. They said that the transaction was a success. Wtf!
      I questioned them in my letter that how come the transaction in their machine log that the said transaction (widrawal) only took 2 seconds to complete. They did not reply about this, they totally ignored this fact in their reply letter to me.
      They dont fu******** care!

  35. first time to experience this kind of shit last monday, Oct 17. (btw eastwest ang bank namin) after magbalance check, me and my mom decided to withdraw 4,900 (since my money is around 8,900) afterwards, instead na pera, receipt ang lumabas "Unable to Dispense" daw. we tried again then afterwards "insufficient Balance" na ang lumalabas. WTF? chineck namin and we found out na nabawasan ng 4,900 yung money ko. Like Hell! i wanna shout out loud but i remained professional. The next day, i called both bdo and eastwest hotline to file a report. Up until now wala pa ring response! I hate this!

  36. Mine was different from you guys. I preordered a collector edition of a book from Book Depository which cost me around 6,700 pesos(its in their policy to deduct even when preordering). Some issues arised and I decided to cancel my order. They immediately refunded me, sent a confirmation that i cancelled my order and refund was processed, plus the transaction reference number of the refund. Problem is, no money arrived from my account, not even a peso. Contacted their customer service, and the line is always busy, decided to email them, got a reply 2 days after. Tf. I told them i will just reort this issue to a BDO bank which they advise me that it would still be the same since the bank will forward my concern to them. Hay nako. They asked for like evidences, filled up a dispute form, and stuffs like that. What most irritated me further was when another customer rep asked me the same thing, which was i already submitted, that fkin rep even asked for my case number, which I assumed they already know since they were the ones who gave me that number! I was so pissed i emailed bsp, submitted my concern and the documents needed. They ask for 7 banking day, which is much better than BDO's 75 banking days. Man, BDO sucks so bad at their customer service.

  38. Same here po, nadebit ako last Nov.7, 2016 until now hindi padin binabalik yong pera ko.. At naulit ulit last Nov.17, 2016. Smartmoney ang gamit kong card at nagwithdraw ako sa BDO.. Nakausap ko nadin yong personnel sa BDO kaso hindi daw nila sakop yon dapat support group ng bdo at support group ng smartmoney ang magcommunicate..

    Tanong ko lang sa mga nadebit po dito, naibalik na ba pera niyo?

  42. The case of my husband is different, Last Nov 30. he withraw 500.00 only, his balnce then is 87,078. Until yesterday we found out that his remaining balance beacame 00.00, we reported it to their CS and she just told us "Ma'am baka po nag auto-pay kayo, may credit card ba kayo ma? sabi ko wala, and if meron man hindi namin gagawin na mag auto-pay, and agin she asked me, Ma'am bka po nag purchased kayo on-line?" Ganyan nlng bah yun? d bah sila nag iisip na perang pinagpaguran ninanakaw nlng nila ng basta-basta? unfortunately weekend so d kmi ma assist ng main branch ng BDO, hopefully ma solve nila yung case namin.

Hi dexi ang nangyari sakin is nung april 8 (sat) magwiwithdraw dapat ako sa BdO c5 taguig kadalasan ang una kong ginagawa is nagchecheck muna ako ng balance tapos nagtaka ako bat ganun na lang yung balance ko kaya kinabahan na ako tumawag ako agad sa CS ng BDO para ireport yun at itanong na din bat nagkaganun ayoko kasi ipagpabukas pa un. So ang sabi ng CS sakin meron daw nagwithdraw sa non bdo machine quiapo same day April 8 din ng amount 10k and then 2500. Tapos tinanong ko kung maibabalik sakin sabi niya iinvestigate pa daw ng 15 banking days, binigayan nila ako ref# about sa report ko. Pumunta agad ako sa branch ko ng BdO nung april 10 (monday) para humingi ng dispute form finill up-an nilagay ko yun then nilagay ko ung ref# na binigay nung CS tas isesend nila yun sa fraud dept for investigation. Tapos ngayong gabi (April 24) tumawag sakin yung BDO branch ko sabi niya positive naman yung investigation pinapapunta niya ako bukas may pipirmahan daw ako.

      Yung sa iyo ba pumunta ka na sa BdO branch mo ? Para magpasa ng dispute form? Para maimbistigahan agad. Follow up follow up lang sa kanila. San na withdraw yung sa iyo? San na copy ung card mo?? Pinablock mo na ba yung Atm card mo?

  44. Do not use BDO ATM’s
    I was ripped off 10,000 at Robinson’s mall Balibago NOV 2016 and unlike other reputable banks the money was not returned still a month later. Incompetence of the Philippines doesn’t cover it when it comes to banking and money. Should not have to try their ridicules customer support, ATM’s are deigned to reconcile and refund be the bank. The ATM has this information for failed cash release but the people behind that then have to ability to ignore it. Sound surprised, then you have not been here long enough.
    This is clear cut outright THEFT. Must be a big scam of theirs.
    Do the numbers on how many people actually go through all the trouble to try getting their money back, then think how much they are STEALING nationwide!
    This bank should be suspended and investigated for fraud if there an actual competent body for that. Now I’m starting to sound funny.
    10k gone never to be retuned. Always look for another ATM to be safe. This website a great example of the length people will go through to try warn unsuspecting consumers. Time consuming effort, not done for fun.
    I have seen the happen at Metro bank and BPI and refunded in a week, still very inconvenient but not THEFT like BDO
    We should all get together am make a TV commercial for it. I’m in!

  46. BDO really sucks. They stole almost 10,000 php in my savings account. Say it was dormant fee bec my opening balance fall below their opening balance which is 10k and that they have changed the opening balance 3 yrs ago from 5k... When I complained to their customer representative I did not get a help, reason why I went to the manager and talked about the problem. Only got 500 as maximum refund they can offer. To think it was their fault, say they send a letter to my home address to inform the changes they made regarding their minimum balance but I do not receive any letter.

I was asked to facilitate some transactions via BDO for my senior citizen father...I thought I'd go to the branch inside SM Iloilo so I could buy what I needed at the same time....as I was about to leave the teller's station, she said that one of the transactions I made was not in the home branch of my father and so needed to pay 100... Which I did pay just to get things done...next day, they call saying that transaction was not allowed and that I have to go back.. Duh!!! Shouldn't they do something about it since the already accepted it? Waste of my time to go back...plus, I already paid the 100 charge...

  53. Similar case happened to me yesterday. I withdrew 10k from an ATM branch in SM Consolacion but it said "unable to dispense cash" went inside to file a complaint and was told to call my bank (RCBC). My bank filed a report and was told to wait 5-10 business days to credit my account until BDO sends a report of such error. I was furious so I spoke to the Rep and was told that it was a known error, that got me even mad. They know that their ATMs would do it but they are keeping it open for the reason that it doesn't happen everytime. We'll guess what, I am that unlucky customer. The bank rep then guaranteed that after batch processing at midnight an automatic report will be forwarded to my bank to consolidate the error. Now, after 24 hours I called my bank, much to my dismay no report was generated and I have to wait for 5-10 days.

    I bet, after reading all the incidents here dating as far as 2014 this is a scheme and BDO is not doing anything about it. I sure hope, they will credit my account. For all other incidents after me, please tell your friends and family never to use BDO ATMs or you might just be the unlucky customer. Their bank has evil ways of stealing money not even to their clients. SCREW YOU, BDO!!!

  60. Hanggang ngayong 2018 yang tactics nila. Kanina (Feb 7), nagwithdraw ako sa atm ng bdo ng 3k. Tapos nag-hang yung machine tapos, lumabas yung card ko pero di lumabas yung receipt at yung cash pero yung nakalagay sa screen transaction completed. Tapos nag check ako ng balance at nabawasan daw ako ng 3k. Pumunta ako sa office ng bdo at syempre tumawag sila sa hotline nila. Makakabalik pa ba yung 3K ko... :(

    2. I experienced the same thing. It was happened to me twice. First it was different machin I widthrawn on PNB ATM MACHINE in LRT ROOSEVELT on FEB 9 then machine showed that the transaction was successful I got panicked because that money was supposed to spent for my birthday but nothing came out. Glad that when I contacted BDO CS the money was automatically reversed then I went to nearest machine in my area then I saw my balance back the way it was. Then this last March 09 it was out payday I widthrawn 10K the machine took time to process my transaction I thought it was because I am processing huge amount and then suddenly may card came out and the machine processed a transaction card that it was unable to dispensed cash then the man next to me widthrawn and his transaction was process. I was very unlucky customer that day. I immediately called BDO CS for the 2nd time around and was told that they would create a case for and it would take 5 banking days knowing that it was Friday when it was happened and I had to wait Monday - Friday. I really needed the money I went to My Branch to asked additional assistance if I could withraw the money that was debited to my savings but they told the same thing. They said that it was a normal thing. This is really a bad experience they used to steal money as quick as they can but thet couldn’t process the case that way.

  61. Just a follow up report para sa atin mga kababayan. Nakausap ko ang pinsan ko na nagtatrabaho sa BDO for 6 years as long as you have the ATM TRANSACTION RECEIPT even if the monitor says UNABLE TO COMPLE YOUR TRANSACTION OR YOUR TRANSACTION WAS PROCESS ETC. Basta walang lumabas na pera sa machine at may na dispense na UNABLE TO DISPENSE na transaction receipt just keep it. Kaya syang i resolved at i reimbursed ni BDO within 5 banking days yun na yung pinaka grace period.   63. I deposit 34K to BDO ATM deposit machine at SM Trece Martires Cavite last tuesday. Literal na kumakain ng pera ung machine and kinain din ung 34K di na debit sa account ku kc biglang nagerror. Kitang kita ng teller ung error and gagawan dw ng report but it will take 5 banking days. Fucking Shit. Kapalpakan ng machine nila tayo nagsusuffer? Badly needed pa nmn ung money to pay my credit card. Then nagfollow up ako sa phone banking nila wala ring kakwentakwenta it takes 30mins nakahold then ala ring sumagot. FUCK U BDO.....

  65. The same thing happened to me last Oct 13, nag withdraw ako 10k sa BDO ATm south supermarket Valenzuela. My ATM card is landbank. Ang tagal lumabas ng card taz di lumalabas pera. Nag antay kme ng almost 10 mins taz wala pa din. Wala din lumabas na receipt. Kala ko sira Yung machine. Pinabantayan ko sa husband ko at nag check ako sa PSBank ATm nanlambot along nung Makita ko 8k na lang na debit without dispense nga ako sa BDO. Immediately tinawagan ko BDO pero Sabi sa servicing bank ko daw report so Sabi ng landbank 6-8 banking days daw. Sabi ng husband ko nung na debit without dispense cia sa PSbank within 1 hour nabalik pera Nia. Grabe pala reklamo sa BDO andami na palang complaints taz di cla nagiimprove sa kanilang service. Unfair sa mga tao kc nagchacharge sa withdrawal. Sana ma action nila eto.
